1080x1920-Anastasia Faella 3

Ronald McDonald House + Anastasia Faiella Interior Design

This tranquil retreat is one of eight spaces Arana painted as part of our first ever charity project with Ronald McDonald House at Stanford, In Palo Alto, CA. We worked closely with Anastasia Faiella to create her vision of a comfortable, calming haven for families with sick children. Arana joined 50 Interior Designers and countless craftsmen and vendors who donated time, energy, and materials to this wonderful project.

Dina Bandman Decorator Showcase-3

SF Decorator Showcase House + Dina Bandman Interiors

Arana is proud to have participated in the creation of this gorgeous room design by Dina Bandman Interiors for SF Decorator Showcase 2023.

San Francisco Decorator Showcase is an annual fundraising event that is also an incredible opportunity for brilliant interior designers to show off their talents. Designs are submitted in a juried competition and then the entire house is transformed by the winners in a period of four short months. When Dina Bandman Goldstone needed a painter to handle the high gloss ceiling and pristine white trim she envisioned, as well as to do the prep work and applying primer for hanging that exquisite hand-painted silk wall covering, she called us.

Happy Valley Road, Lafayette + LMB Interiors + McCutcheon Construction

There are so many gorgeous spaces in this whole-house remodel that we participated in creating. The kitchen is a particular favorite for us in this portfolio. We love the use of the interior siding, which reminds us of 1920s farmhouses, and sojourns at Indian Springs Resort in Calistoga. We used a hand-brushed technique on the wood, completing the artisanal look.

The right wallcovering adds color, texture, nuance… especially in this case. Pause on the close-ups to feel these walls — accent walls in the living room and bedroom that compliment the gorgeous textures of the soft goods and furnishings; all specified by the designer, LMB Interiors.

LMBI personalized this iconic Marin County Eichler home in a way that both completely compliments the homeowner’s personal taste, and harmonizes with the classic Eichler details and aesthetic.

Blair Avenue, Piedmont + McCutcheon Construction

This extraordinary full house remodeling project won a LEED Platinum award for its thorough application of green/eco-conscious materials and processes. As part of a team spearheaded by McCutcheon Construction, Arana was brought in to contribute our wood stain expertise. We applied clear water based stain to the exterior cedar siding and a cream-color, semi-solid, water-based stain to the interior poplar wood paneling.

The interiors provided a particular challenge because the new construction required brand new wood paneling that needed to match the original-build paneling that was being retained. The result is a seamless, uninterrupted experience as if there was never a before-and-after in this iconic mid-century-modern home.

And learn more about how the eco-friendly choices made at the time did or did not hold up, 10 years later, in this article we wrote for Oakland Magazine.

Rose Lane, Lafayette, Ranch Home Remodel + LMB Interiors

A whole-house remodel, this 5000 square-foot Ranch-style home in Lafayette was taken down to the studs and fully reimagined by interior design firm LMB Interiors and architect Debbi Petersen, with construction by Mascheroni.

LMB Interiors brought us in from the very beginning of the project to help ensure that every color and texture was perfectly aligned with the design vision, inside and out.

66th Street, Oakland + Cass Morris Color and Design (Before, During & After)

With this recent exterior paint job, performed by Arana Craftsman Painters, this lovely Oakland home went from white-and-brown to shades of blue with hints of green, and gray trim. The color palette was selected by our dear colleague (whose services are included in our whole-house-exterior-paint contracts) Cass Morris.

In this portfolio, you may notice that we have peppered in a few before-and-during the painting process images to give you an insider view on the transformation!
